What is Neosurf?
Neosurf is a prepaid voucher. You buy it for cash at a kiosk, a news stand, a convenience store, a supermarket or a petrol station, or online from an approved reseller, and you get a receipt with a ten-character PIN. At the bookmaker you choose Neosurf in the cashier and type the PIN: the credit moves to your betting balance and the bookmaker sees no card number, no bank account and no name. The code is active from the moment you buy it, so anyone who tells you it must be “activated” on a website is trying to steal it.
The voucher dates from 2004 and Neosurf calls it the first widely available solution to pay online; its site says more than 20,000 websites accept it. The company behind it is NS Cards France SAS, trading as Neosurf Cards, registered in Paris under number 478 502 321. It is not an electronic money institution itself: its terms say customer accounts are safeguarded by Andaria Financial Services Limited, licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority, and the about page of neosurf.com lists its own e-money licence (“EML”) as “in progress”. The site now signs as Neosurf INC, and in the United States its WagerWallet and DigitalCash wallets are provided by Community Federal Savings Bank.
Bettors use it for two reasons: nothing personal leaves the shop, and the amount on the voucher is the most you can deposit, which makes it a budget tool. Its limit is the other direction. A voucher can only be spent, so winnings go either into a myNeosurf account, the free e-money account Neosurf offers, or by bank transfer in your name.
How to get a Neosurf voucher
- Choose the amount and the currency. Values vary by country; Neosurf says typical values run from the equivalent of €10 to €150. Buy in the currency of your bookmaker, because a payment in another currency costs 2% (3% for the Polish zloty). Minor vouchers, sold in some places, cannot be used on sites that verify your age, so ask for the standard one.
- Buy it in a shop or online. In a shop you pay cash and get a receipt with the PIN; the terms say vouchers are sold at face value. Online, Neosurf lists Becharge, Dundle.com, Neosurf Africa and Recharge.com as approved resellers, which show the voucher details on screen and e-mail them, and it warns that these third parties may add “fees, charges or identification requirements”.
- Keep the PIN to yourself. Never send it by e-mail or read it out on the phone, and never hand a code over as payment for a fee or a fine. Check a balance only on the Check Voucher page of neosurf.com; Neosurf says other sites offering to do it may be fraudulent.
- Open a myNeosurf account if you want more than one deposit. The account is free for anyone over 18 and opens in minutes. You can load several voucher PINs into it, pay with a personal ten-digit PIN, top it up by bank transfer and have a bookmaker pay your winnings into it. No documents are needed for basic use; Neosurf asks for identity verification for larger deposit or spending limits and does not publish the figures.
- Pay the bookmaker. Choose Neosurf in the cashier, type the PIN from the receipt or from your account and confirm. The deposit is on your betting account at once. You can spend part of a voucher; the rest stays on it and can be moved to another voucher or into the account.
What it costs
The deposit itself is normally free: you pay the face value in the shop, Neosurf’s terms list no fee for paying a merchant, and most bookmakers add no fee on Neosurf deposits. The costs are in the terms of the voucher and of the myNeosurf account, and they bite when a voucher is left unused, spent in the wrong currency or sent back for a refund.
Neosurf fees
| Operation | Fee |
|---|---|
| Buy a voucher in a shop | Face value, no premium |
| Buy a voucher online | Face value from Neosurf; approved resellers may add “fees, charges or identification requirements” |
| Pay a bookmaker | Free |
| Bookmaker fee on the deposit | 0% at most bookmakers; the cashier shows any fee before you confirm |
| Service fee after 3 months without a login or a transaction | €3 a month (or the equivalent in your currency), on a voucher and on a myNeosurf account |
| Payment in another currency | 2% on top of the exchange rate (3% for the zloty) |
| Refund of a voucher | 5% of the amount refunded, after identity verification, by bank transfer to an account in your name; the refund page says the request must be made within 30 days of opening the account |
| Open a myNeosurf account | Free |
| Withdraw from myNeosurf to a bank account | “Fees may apply”; Neosurf publishes no figure |
| Voucher validity | Expiry date printed on the receipt; no period published |
Fees read on 19 October 2026 in the terms and conditions and the support FAQ of neosurf.com. The terms are published in several languages and the versions differ in the company details, but the fees are the same in all of them; the English PDF could not be opened, so the figures come from the French, Italian, Polish and Romanian texts. Neosurf publishes no fee for withdrawing from myNeosurf to a bank and no validity period for vouchers.
Buy in the bookmaker’s currency and spend it within three months
A €100 voucher spent on a betting account in dollars loses €2 to the exchange fee. A voucher forgotten in a drawer starts losing €3 a month after three months without a transaction, and getting the rest refunded costs 5% plus an identity check. Buy the amount you will deposit, in the currency you bet in, and use it.
Deposit and withdrawal times
Deposits are instant. The bookmaker credits the betting account as soon as the PIN is accepted, with no bank or card issuer in between, and the minimum and maximum are those the bookmaker sets, within the value of the voucher. A voucher can be spent in part, so a €50 voucher can fund two deposits.
A voucher cannot receive money. A bookmaker that offers withdrawals to Neosurf pays into a myNeosurf account, which Neosurf’s gambling page describes as receiving your winnings “without going through a bank account”; from the account you can pay other sites, withdraw to a bank account in your name or put the money on a new voucher. Neosurf publishes no time for the credit from a merchant or for the transfer to your bank. A bookmaker that does not pay to myNeosurf sends winnings by bank transfer or to an e-wallet in your name, after its usual approval time and identity checks.
Where you can use it
Neosurf publishes two counts and no list. The voucher page of neosurf.com says the voucher is “sold in more than 50 countries around the world”; the business site, updated in April 2026, speaks of “31 strategically selected countries spanning 5 continents”. The store locator was no help on 19 October 2026: it opened on the page of the US WagerWallet product, with no country list. What the site does state:
- Shops. Kiosks, news stands, convenience stores, supermarkets and petrol stations. In the United Kingdom, PayPoint has sold the voucher for cash in more than 27,000 shops under an exclusive deal announced on 7 September 2020.
- Online. The approved resellers are Becharge, Dundle.com, Neosurf Africa and Recharge.com. Pick one that sells the voucher in your currency.
- Values and minors. Denominations vary by country, typically €10 to €150 or the equivalent. Minor vouchers, sold in some countries, are refused on sites that verify age, so they are useless at a bookmaker.
- Gambling. Neosurf publishes no list of countries where gambling payments are blocked; its gambling page lists partner casinos, lotteries, betting and poker sites with no country rules. Whether Neosurf appears in a cashier depends on the bookmaker’s licence.
- United Kingdom and Australia. The credit card bans for gambling (14 April 2020 in the UK, 11 June 2024 in Australia) cover credit cards and funds linked to a credit card, digital wallets included. Neither regulator’s page mentions cash vouchers.
Refunds and withdrawals from myNeosurf go only by bank transfer to an account in your name, a rule Neosurf ties to the anti-money-laundering rules in force in France. Expect the same name rule from the bookmaker when it pays you by bank transfer.
Neosurf and welcome bonuses
Check the bonus terms first
Vouchers usually qualify for welcome offers, because the bookmaker treats the deposit like cash, but some bookmakers exclude prepaid vouchers from the first-deposit bonus in the same clause that excludes Skrill and Neteller. Read the payment clause before you type the PIN. If Neosurf is excluded, make the first deposit by card or bank transfer and use the voucher from the second one.

Questions and answers
Is Neosurf free to use with bookmakers?
The deposit is: a voucher costs its face value in a shop, paying a merchant is free and most bookmakers add no fee. The costs are on the voucher side: 2% on a payment in another currency (3% for the zloty), €3 a month after three months without a transaction, and 5% plus an identity check if you want what is left refunded.
Can I withdraw my winnings to Neosurf?
Not to a voucher, which can only be spent. Where the bookmaker offers it, winnings are paid into a free myNeosurf account, from which you pay other sites or withdraw to a bank account in your name; Neosurf says fees may apply to that withdrawal and publishes no time. Otherwise the bookmaker pays by bank transfer or to an e-wallet in your name.
What voucher amounts exist and in which currency should I buy?
Values vary by country; Neosurf says typical values run from the equivalent of €10 to €150. Buy in the currency of your bookmaker, because a payment in another currency costs 2% (3% for the zloty). Minor vouchers, sold in some countries, are refused on sites that verify age.
Does a Neosurf voucher expire or lose value?
The expiry date is printed on the receipt, and Neosurf publishes no general validity period. After three months without a login or a transaction, a service fee of €3 a month (or the equivalent in your currency) is deducted from a voucher or a myNeosurf account, so spend it within three months.
Is Neosurf safe, and who is behind it?
The service is run by NS Cards France SAS in Paris, registered under number 478 502 321; its terms say customer accounts are safeguarded by Andaria Financial Services Limited, licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority, and the company lists its own e-money licence as in progress. The practical risk is fraud: a code never needs activating, the PIN must never be given by e-mail or phone, and a balance is checked only on neosurf.com.
