What is MiFinity?

MiFinity is a digital wallet. You load it from a card, a bank transfer, a local payment method or a cryptocurrency and pay the bookmaker from the balance, so the operator never sees your card or bank details. Withdrawals come back into the wallet, and from there you move them to a card you have deposited with, to a bank account or to a crypto wallet. One account can hold up to nine wallets in 18 currencies, EUR, GBP and USD among them.

The company is from Belfast. MiFinity UK Limited was incorporated in Northern Ireland in February 2012 and is authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority to issue electronic money (register reference 900090). Customers who live in the European Economic Area contract instead with Mifinity Malta Limited, authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority as a financial institution (registration C64824). Both trade as MiFinity, and the group passed one million user accounts in March 2025.

Bettors use it for the same reasons as Skrill or Neteller: the bookmaker only needs the e-mail of the wallet, a payout lands in the wallet as soon as the bookmaker approves it, and one account serves every bookmaker you play at. What MiFinity adds is the list of ways to load it, more than 80, from Interac in Canada to Pix in Brazil, Blik in Poland, Bancontact in Belgium, iDEAL in the Netherlands, UnionPay and nine cryptocurrencies through Cryptopay. MiRewards, a loyalty programme for wallet customers, was added in February 2026.

How to open a MiFinity account

  1. Sign up at secure.mifinity.com or in the app. The app is free on Android and iOS. The terms admit adults only, and every card or bank account you deposit with must be in your own name.
  2. Choose the wallet currency with care. Open it in the currency of your bookmaker: every transaction in a different currency carries a mark-up of up to 2.99% on the exchange rate, up to 3.99% for the currencies MiFinity classes as exotic, such as the Brazilian real, the Argentine peso or the Indonesian rupiah. You can add more wallets later, up to nine.
  3. Verify your identity. MiFinity asks for it once your transactions pass €150: a government ID with a selfie and a proof of address dated within the last three months (mobile phone bills are refused). The check takes 24 to 48 hours. Your first card deposit is capped at €150 until the card is verified with the 4-digit code that appears on your card statement after that first deposit.
  4. Load the wallet. SEPA bank transfer is free, and verified customers in the EEA and the UK get a free Virtual IBAN in euro or sterling for the same purpose. A Visa or Mastercard issued in the EEA costs 1.8%, Apple Pay and Google Wallet included; cryptocurrencies 1.8%; Paysafecard 10.5%.
  5. Pay the bookmaker. Choose MiFinity in the cashier, log in on the MiFinity page and confirm; the money is on your betting account at once. Without an account, you can enter Visa or Mastercard details on the same page and MiFinity opens one for you.

What it costs

Between MiFinity and the bookmaker there is normally nothing to pay: the fee page has no line for paying a merchant, and most bookmakers add no fee on MiFinity deposits or withdrawals. The costs sit in the wallet: loading it, taking money out and changing currency.

Fees read on 19 October 2026 on the fee page of mifinity.com. Card fees depend on where the card was issued, and each local method has its own rate, from €0.50 for Bancontact and iDEAL to 3% for Blik and 11% for Rabbit LINE Pay in Thailand. The fee page says the account turns inactive after 12 months, the terms after 24. Withdrawals to a bank account are priced in the Send Money calculator rather than on the fee page.

Two ways to pay less

Load the wallet by SEPA transfer or through the free Virtual IBAN instead of by card, and keep it in the currency of your bookmaker. A bettor who loads €1,000 by card pays €18 to load; if the betting account is in dollars, the conversion adds up to €29.90 more, before a single bet.

Deposit and withdrawal times

Paying the bookmaker from the wallet is immediate. Withdrawals take as long as the bookmaker needs to approve them, from a few minutes to two or three days depending on the operator and on whether your betting account is verified; once approved, the money reaches the wallet at once. That is the advantage over a card, where the bank adds its own days after the bookmaker has paid.

Loading the wallet takes 1 to 15 minutes by Interac, a few minutes by cryptocurrency and one to two business days by bank transfer to the Virtual IBAN. Taking money out is slower: MiFinity reviews every withdrawal and calculates the final fee at approval, says it processes transfers within 24 hours on its side, and the receiving bank then adds anything from nothing to three to five days. Interac payouts take one to two business days, crypto withdrawals 30 minutes to a few hours.

Where you can use it

MiFinity opens accounts in most countries and keeps a list of 27 where it refuses residents, last updated on 1 April 2026. Using the wallet for betting then depends on the law of your country and on the bookmaker’s licence. The rules that matter most:

The deposit menu shows only the methods available in your country of residence, so the options you see after logging in are the ones you can use.

MiFinity and welcome bonuses

Check the bonus terms first

Some bookmakers exclude first deposits made with e-wallets from their welcome offer. The clause usually names Skrill and Neteller, and some operators extend it to every e-wallet, MiFinity included. If the offer terms list MiFinity among the excluded methods, make the first deposit by card or bank transfer and use MiFinity from the second one.

Questions and answers

Is MiFinity free to use with bookmakers?

Paying a bookmaker from the wallet has no fee on MiFinity’s fee page, and most bookmakers add none. You pay to load the wallet by card (1.8% for a card issued in the EEA), to withdraw to a card (€1 to a Visa, €1.75 to a Mastercard) or to a crypto wallet (1.8%), and up to 2.99% whenever a transaction changes currency. Bank transfers into the wallet are free.

How long does a MiFinity withdrawal from a bookmaker take?

As long as the bookmaker takes to approve it, usually from a few minutes to a couple of days; once approved, the money is in the wallet at once. Getting it out of MiFinity is a second step: the company reviews the withdrawal, processes it within 24 hours on its side, and the bank then adds from nothing to three to five days. Crypto withdrawals arrive within 30 minutes to a few hours.

Can I use MiFinity from the United States or the United Kingdom?

Not from the United States: it is on MiFinity’s list of 27 non-serviced countries, together with Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands. UK residents can open an account with MiFinity UK Limited, but cannot load it with a credit card for betting, because the Gambling Commission’s ban of April 2020 extends to e-wallets.

Do MiFinity deposits count for the welcome bonus?

Not always. Some bookmakers exclude e-wallet deposits from the first-deposit offer, and MiFinity may be on that list with Skrill and Neteller. Read the payment clause of the bonus terms before you deposit.

Is MiFinity safe?

MiFinity UK Limited is authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority to issue electronic money (reference 900090) and Mifinity Malta Limited by the Malta Financial Services Authority (registration C64824), and the bookmaker never sees your card or bank details. In September 2026 the Maltese company settled an anti-money-laundering review by the FIAU covering 2021 and 2022 with a €160,000 penalty and a remediation programme; its services were not interrupted.
